Young Talent for Business is a Birmingham and Solihull project supported by the European Social Fund and Youth Employment Initiative and has been put in place to directly support local employers who can provide sustainable employment opportunities for young Birmingham and Solihull residents by providing incentivised recruitment and training solutions.
Young Talent for Business is aligned with Youth Promise Plus which has young people from all backgrounds and skill sets who work with us to get into work and learning, and are always looking for businesses that can train, inspire and utilise the skills of young people for the future.
Young Talent for Business are offering up to £5,000 for employers who recruit young people from the Youth Promise Plus Project for up to 12 months.
£1,500 ‘Recruitment & Training’ Incentive, when you fill a vacancy with an eligible young person. The incentive is payable after four consecutive weeks of paid employment and all is required is a wage slip to evidence that the young person has been in consecutive employment for four weeks working more than 16hrs on average a week.
A further £3,500 ‘Train Up’ Incentive, when employers provide intensive training and support when recruiting eligible young people to targeted employment sectors and/or where the young person has significant barriers to employment and require intensive support for them to successfully thrive in the position. ‘Train Up’ is payable after 13 consecutive weeks of paid employment where a clear and agreed Training Plan is completed.
