Where to find finance for your business

The Kent and Medway Business fund is open to new pre-applications on 1 September 2018 and will close on 1 October 2018. The scheme funds up to 50% of eligible costs and offers 0% loans between £50,000 and £500,000 to small and medium sized businesses.

The Small Business Grants Initiative gives small businesses that have been set up and are actively trading, the opportunity to receive a £5,000 grant to help them flourish and become successful enterprises. This grant does not have to be repaid. Applications must be submitted by the 31 August 2018.

Capital grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available through South East Business Boost. The programme can fund up to 30% of the costs of qualifying projects.

Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE) is an EU funded project set up to help businesses tackle and adapt to climate change. It aims to reduce costs by cutting emissions and to promote the opportunities of the low carbon market. To help achieve this goal, grants of up to £20,000 are available to small and medium businesses in the South East. Find out more at
