The Federation of Small Businesses helped the celebrations get started through taking a group of local businesses to meet founder Jon Smith and family members and hear about how the business has developed.

FSB Development Manager Paul Foster said: “It is a great success for Whalley Warm and Dry to make the Small Business Saturday Top 100 list and we congratulate the whole team on their achievement.  We look forward to hearing about further successes as the business continues its development.”

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.

The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
