Watch again: West Midlands Support Event – Staying Safe from Cyber Crime

To coincide with European Cyber Security Month in October 2020 FSB held a virtual form on cybersecurity to provide information on current cyber threats and advice on steps small businesses can take to become a more cyber secure organisation.

Panellists answered a range of questions posed live by attendees and also submitted in advance.

 

Hosted by FSB member Helen Barge, Managing Director of Risk Evolves, the panel of speakers featured:

  • Hinesh Mehta from the recently established West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre
  • Chris Pinder from IASME
  • Ian Mckinney from Gallagher Insurance

The panel provided an update on current threats, costs of cyber, outlined the relevance of the Cyber Essentials Scheme and provided some simple, cost effective steps that businesses can take to make sure they are a more cyber secure organisaiton.
