Business owners and managers plus a wide selection of business organisations from across Greater Lincolnshire attended this year’s LEP Business Live event at the Lincolnshire Showground and contributed to a highly successful event.
Organised by Lincolnshire Media on behalf of the Local Enterprise Partnership, this event is the highlight of the business year for the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and the expo style ‘Business Live’ exhibition area was complemented by various keynote speakers.
The theme this year was ‘Embrace the Future’ with a focus on how advances in technology continue to revolutionise the business world through artificial intelligence (AI), automation and more.
An interesting and dramatic but very noisy addition to proceedings were regular visits by ‘Titan’, part actor, part robot, with his particular blend of sci-fi, comedy and crowd interaction. No technology show would be complete without one or more robots!
FSB Membership Advisor Colin Picken and Development Manager David Thorpe ran the FSB exhibition stand and took advantage of the many networking and lead gathering opportunities that always ensure that FSB attendance here is worthwhile.
Activity at the FSB stand was non-stop from 8.00am onwards. Good to see Committee Members David Dexter and Neil Sharpley attending and getting fully involved on behalf of FSB.
A tour of the exhibitors revealed the most apparent observation and that is the vast array of business support solutions currently available to help those businesses with aspirations for growth or taking on more employees. Most of these schemes are publicly funded but it is unclear as to what the situation will be following the UK leaving the EU.
So it seems that now would be a good time for businesses to get their business support needs established and appropriate solutions identified. Initially, a look at the local Growth Hub’s website is essential as it will have information and contact details for all of the solution providers.
