The Cheeky Panda wins Scale-Up Business of the Year at FSB London Regional Final

Environmentally friendly products are at the heart of consumer consciousness at the moment. The tissue market is a £50bn category and it has not been disrupted in years.  Winners of this year’s Scale-Up Business of the Year 2019 at the London Regional Final of the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards was The Cheeky Panda.

The company, which sells sustainable bamboo tissue products, launched in 2016 with a £10,000 start-up from friends and family. This year the cheeky team are on course to break the £10 million barrier, selling over 500,000 units per month. If The Cheeky Panda continues on the current trajectory, it could be one of the biggest IPOs for a green company.  Chris Forbes co-founder said: “The Cheeky Panda makes a profit and the London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ think we are set to be the next major green IPO.”

The Cheeky Panda range is stocked by leading retailers throughout the UK including Boots, WHSmith, Ocado and Morrisons as well as being a best seller on Amazon. The sustainable conscious company’s allergy free, chemical free pocket tissues, facial tissues and handy wet wipes are already proving a best seller in Boots.
