The busy market town of Brigg in North Lincolnshire hosted the Small Business Saturday tour bus early in November as part of the build up to the special day on 2 December.
The bus and the on-board team were made welcome by representatives from North Lincolnshire Council, our FSB Development Manager and some local businesses including Red Herring Games from Grimsby and Voiceover artist, Liz Drury from Ulceby.
Liz was also a finalist in the Small Business Saturday 100 competition. Meanwhile, over in the Tourist Information Centre our Development Manager was joined by Business Support advisers from the Humber Growth Hub and the Greater Lincolnshire Growth Hub to provide information and guidance for visiting businesses.
Enquiries included requests for information on local business support, B2B Networking and FSB Membership. The event successfully raised the Small Business Saturday profile in the town.
Small Business Saturday is about all small businesses and their customers, not just retailers. Although it is hoped that retailers will lead the way in arranging local activity to encourage shoppers to keep trade local and spend with smaller businesses.
