Small Business Saturday gets Northern Powerhouse boost

The Small Business Saturday (SBS) Bus tour rocked up in Rochdale on Friday as part of its nationwide tour to raise the profile of this year’s event. And along for the ride was the Government’s Northern Powerhouse Minister, Jake Berry - picture second from right.

SBS this year falls on December 2, and FSB has helped organise a winter market at Rochdale’s Exchange Shopping Centre, which will see around 20 stalls selling Christmas craft ware through the mall, on what is typically the busiest shopping day of the year.

FSB members will be among the stall holders helping the event go with a bang, along with a contingent of young market stall holders from Young Enterprise also there selling goods as part of the charity’s programme to teach entrepreneurship.
