FSB members in North Norfolk were given the opportunity to discuss key policy issues with their MP Norman Lamb during a small business roundtable on 24 July.
The event, held at the Sheringham Little Theatre, was led by FSB Regional Chair Salena Dawson, with Norfolk branch Chair David Howell also in attendance.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including national concerns such as business rates and Brexit, along with constituency issues.
Salena Dawson said: “We’re very grateful to Norman for making time to speak to our members, and the event was a great example of the importance that FSB East Anglia attaches to engaging with our political leaders.”
Norman Lamb said: "“Small businesses are the bedrock of the regional economy, so I welcomed the opportunity to meet local FSB members to discuss their concerns at a time of considerable economic uncertainty. It was an insightful and wide-ranging discussion, and I look forward to pursuing the issues that were raised in Parliament and in my constituency work.”
Further meetings are already scheduled with MPs Peter Aldous and Keith Simpson, and local FSB members in both constituencies (Waveney and Broadland respectively) are invited to attend.
The region has also organised a Westminster Tour for members on 17 October, and will be inviting MPs from Norfolk and Suffolk to come and meet those in attendance.
