Eleven lucky small business winners became regional champions at the London finals of ‘The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards’.  The finalists and winners enjoyed a celebratory lunch held Wednesday 17 April at the prestigious One Whitehall Place within The Royal Horseguards Hotel, Westminster.

The FSB competition designed to find the winning businesses from across the capital were won, this year, by a wide variety of businesses including Fulham based personalised jewellery company – ‘Merci Maman’ which has beaten off stiff competition to be crowned London’s International Business of the Year – one of 11 award category winners at the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards for the London area.

Overnight the company turnover tripled and they saw significant growth in international sales particularly in the US, France and Germany.

Other winners on the day included Radfield Home Care Havering inspired by ‘Nanny Fish’ took the London Family Business of the Year Award for its ‘we are a family’ approach in providing high quality care for the elderly and those living with dementia.

Marylebone’s The Cheeky Panda Ltd won Scale-Up Business of the Year, recognised for its sustainable, bamboo tissue products now selling to big name High Street and online outlets achieving a multi-million turnover and a valuation of £25m in just three years.

The Business & Product Innovation Award went to Not.Corn who are disrupting the snack market by introducing a ground-breaking innovative, new snack which is completely unique and the first of its kind to the whole of Europe – sorghum – an alternative grain, which according to a leading women’s health magazine has a nutritional profile to rival quinoa and is set to be the next big superfood.

Michael Lassman, FSB London Regional Chair, said: “Congratulations to all this year’s London FSB Celebrating Small Business Award winners. Enjoy the limelight.
