Expo East, held recently at Newark Showground, was created by Stonebow Media of Lincoln as an event aimed at bringing together businesses from Lincolnshire and all of the neighbouring Counties.
With a strapline of ‘Business Without Borders’ and some excellent online marketing, the number of exhibitors achieved was up to expectations and provided excellent Networking opportunities between stand-holders.
FSB East Midlands presence was welcomed by the organisers and our exhibition stand was staffed by FSB Membership Adviser David Lovell and FSB Development Manager David Thorpe.
The FSB Area Leaders from Greater Lincolnshire and Peterborough, Neil Sharpley and David Dexter also attended in support and took advantage of FSB profile raising opportunities throughout the day. Our stand proved to be one of the busiest, helped no doubt by being located immediately opposite a row of new BMW cars on display. The ultimate aim was of course to recruit new members and four were actually signed up on the day.
Our Membership Advisers are currently following up all of the other warm leads obtained. Although the number of business owner/manager delegates attending as visitors was not as high as predicted our FSB stand personnel made the most of what prospects were available.
The event will be staged again next year on Wednesday 3 April 2019 and details will be published in due course on www.expoeast.co.uk where you can currently see some highlights of the 2018 event.
