FSB East Anglia is to launch a new networking event that will aim to give small businesses a chance to build up their contacts and keep informed about the big issues affecting them.
The new group, which is open both to FSB members and non-members, is part of the organisation’s “Connect” networking programme, and will begin in Norwich on Wednesday 27 September with a breakfast event at The Georgian Townhouse.
Each networking breakfast will see attendees given a chance to talk about their firms in a relaxed and friendly environment, and to meet others involved in the local business community.
The events, which will run on the last Wednesday of each month, will also feature guest speakers, who will provide insights on topics intended to add real value for those present.
The first event in Norwich will feature Bethany Whymark, a Business Writer for the Eastern Daily Press. Bethany will be explaining some of the key steps that small businesses can take to promote themselves to the local media, and in particular how to craft an effective press release that will attract journalists’ attention.
Regional Development Manager Andrew Mower said: “Our research has shown that our members hold networking opportunities in high regard and we are responding to that. The events will give all attendees a great opportunity to make new connections and ensure they are keeping pace with important local developments.”
Refreshments will be included in the ticket price.
Booking information for the event is here.
The subsequent Connect event in Norwich will take place at The Cottage on Wednesday 25 October and alternate between venues each month. Places can be booked here.
