New branding for Greensand Country

Greensand Country, the new name for the distinctive, beautiful and loved countryside, which stretches from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire to Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire is working with FSB and many other organisations, businesses and tour operators to promote this unique landscape.

FSB is keen to encourage people to visit, enjoy, understand, value and look after Greensand Country for the long term and to encourage tourism to the area for the benefit of the many small businesses that thrive in the area. 

The brand, which has been launched by the Greensand Country Landscape Partnership, and is co-led by The Greensand Trust and Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC), creates a single identity, bringing together organisations across the landscape and telling a joined up story. 

The Landscape Partnership has already started funding a number of projects across Greensand Country, with many more to come.

Jon Boswell, Chief Executive of Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, explains: “We are excited to have launched the new Greensand Country brand, and look forward to working with FSB to promote the area as a destination that local people are proud to be associated with and those further afield are eager to visit.”

Caron Kendall, FSB Development Manager said: “I have been involved in helping with this project since its inception.  It is a fantastic part of the world and is in easy reach of a large population looking to come and spend time and money in a rural location. However without the right branding and promotion visitors are unlikely to know about the wealth of culture and heritage that this area has to offer.”
