An FSB-led business breakfast featuring Mansfield MP, Ben Bradley, took place in the market town in the middle of September.
Attendees included Mansfield BID representatives, the Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams, and the owners of the event venue – Ransom Hall – as well as, of course, FSB members.
Following a light breakfast and networking, a key range of small business topics were discussed with Mr Bradley including Government investment to rejuvenate town centres and the role of Midlands Connect in improving regional roads.
The event was chaired by Michael Weedon - FSB Policy Representative for the East Midlands and Chair of the FSB’s Retail and High Streets Policy Unit.
Mr Weedon said: “It was a robust business breakfast and we were delighted Ben could join us to talk about key small business issues facing both his constituency and the country as a whole.
“Working on making a better town centre offer, getting the right employee and employer skills and the importance of properly funded infrastructure were all agreed as a priorities for local commerce in Mansfield as they are in many towns across the UK.
“We look forward to working with Ben, Mansfield FSB members and other local stakeholders in making sure small business in North Nottinghamshire gets all the support it deserves on these topics and others”
