Local MP set to speak at West Norfolk business network event

Elizabeth Truss MP is to speak at the launch of a new networking meeting for businesses in West Norfolk.

The first meeting of the group, which is being established by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), will take place on Thursday 31 May at The Hare Arms in Stow Bardolph, between 12.30pm-2pm.

Truss will speak about her top campaigning priorities for small businesses in the area, while also taking questions from attendees.

The event will feature networking activities that aim to give attendees the chance to develop their local contacts. The FSB will also deliver an update on national and regional business news.

Tickets for the meeting, which are on general sale, cost £9 and include lunch. They can be booked through Eventbrite

The FSB will subsequently run networking meetings in West Norfolk on a bi-monthly basis.

FSB East Anglia Area Lead David Howell said: “Our research showed that local businesses wanted more opportunities to build up their connections and we are responding to that need. The event will provide some informal and more structured networking activities, as well as helping attendees to ensure they are keeping pace with important business issues.”
