Keeping great company at the Yeovil Show

  • 19 July 2017

Our Yeovil and Mendip team enjoyed two successful days at the Yeovil Show, chatting to the general public, business owners, Yeovil’s Mayor and Yeovil MP - Marcus Fysh about issues affecting small businesses in the area.

The fantastic suit of armour, kindly loaned to us by local member FOC created lots of interest, and provided a visual representation that FSB is here to protect your business through advice, support and financial services!  Check the exciting new benefits here

Formed over 150 years ago, the Yeovil Agricultural Society held the annual Yeovil Show for many years until the late 1960's.

The reasons behind its demise are unclear but it is thought that two wet years combined with the arrival of the Bath & West Show at Shepton Mallet Showground meant the Yeovil Show Committee decided to throw their lot in with Bath & West and the Yeovil Show shut up shop.

Organisers brought back the Yeovil Show in 2016 and a questionnaire issued by the organisers after that initial event elicited 600 voluntary responses, resulting in an indisputable confirmation that people wanted the show to come back to Yeovil permanently.
