Iain Wallis joins Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) Business Development Group

Iain Wallis from our Kennet Branch and Regional team will take up a role sitting on SWLEP’s Business Development Group which is one of three lead sub groups, sitting below the Board to provide direction and focus to the LEPs focus on key projects and activity across Swindon and Wiltshire. The three lead groups are Policy, infrastructure, and Business Development.

The Business Development group oversees and directs all the SWLEP activity around business development, big and small, and will be working closely with the small business champion. Iain will be representing the views of our Swindon and Wiltshire members.

Iain said: “I’m delighted to take up this role which will have direct control over the growth hub and TEN projects so will influence areas which concern our members. It will also be directing money for place shaping, so it’s a great way to ensure our members’ views are represented at the point where key decisions are made for the area”.

The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership was established in July 2011 as a private sector led partnership between Swindon Borough Council, Wiltshire Council and local businesses.  Their primary role is to drive economic growth, by creating jobs, attracting new investments and supporting new and growing businesses in Swindon and Wiltshire
