Hundreds of businesses learn essential bitesize top tips at FSB Bootcamp and Expo

Over 200 business attended the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Business Bootcamp and Expo at the Belgrade Theatre.

Hearing from The Digital Garage from Google, businesses discovered how to reach new customers by optimising their presence on Google, they learnt how to make money, save money and stay relevant by meeting the needs of the digitally-savvy customer with David Taylor from DNASix; and how to use video to market your business via a live demonstration on how to record, edit and distribute a video in under 30 minutes from a mobile phone with John Dixon and Ralph Titley from Brightest Bulb.

Hosted by professional MC Dave Sharpe (pictured below) and expert business consultant Sandra Garlick, the event kicked off with a networking breakfast that celebrated the recent announcement that Coventry has won the UK City of Culture 2021 title.

Delegates heard from Michael Mogan, Fundraising Manager at Coventry UK City of Culture on how the team behind the bid prepare to put on the greatest show that Coventry has ever seen and how small businesses can benefit. 

The eclectic mix of experts and professional speakers also included a compelling session from Michelle Mills-Porter from Ensize on mastering the art of natural networking and building relationships through sub-conscious communication and Rachel Taplin PR expert from Boohoo Media helped businesses understand digital PR and how to connect influencers and journalists across TV, radio and print. 

Throughout the day delegates had the chance to network with the 30+ exhibitors ranging from organisations of all sizes, both local and national!
