Howzthat for a fundraiser

A cricket competition organised by FSB members Digital Next raised £2,500 for a Manchester based youth charity.

The event was held at Lindow Cricket Club in Wilmslow by cricket mad brothers Mark and Justin Blackhurst, who run digital marketing agency Digital Next at Manchester’s Sharp Project. Businesses from across the region were invited to field a team with overall winners being Chess ICT, a technology solutions company based in Alderley Edge.

The fun event raised money for the Greater Manchester Youth Network charity, which helps young people volunteer and engage in social action and entrepeneurship.

“We chose GMYN because the young people they help are the workforce of tomorrow, which seemed particularly fitting given it was businesses entering our cricket competition. We all know there are shortfalls in services supporting young people, particularly when it comes to mental health provision and getting them into employment. By helping to plug that gap, the Greater Manchester Youth Network is providing an invaluable service to hundreds of people.”
