Small business owners and the self-employed can keep the spotlight on their business by entering our new awards competition designed to recognise the South East’s most outstanding businesses! The deadline is fast approaching with the deadline to enter set for 12 January. Members and non-members can apply.
Would-be nominees across 12 categories are right now drafting their (free) entries and the best will then be rewarded with a gala lunch at the South East finals at Sandown Racecourse in March. Darran Hathaway, East Sussex’s FSB leader said: “It is important the South East businesses make their mark locally in the contest as we want our economy recognised at the national final in May 2018, which will bring together the winners from throughout the country.”
There’s a category to suit you: the 12 ‘FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards’ categories are listed on www.fsbawards.co.uk where you can post your entry.
Two high level sponsors from East Sussex have come on board to back the Awards. Mike Herd, pictured, is the Executive Director of Sussex Innovation Centre based at the University of Sussex who are sponsoring the Business and Product Innovation Award category. The Green Growth Platform from the University of Brighton is sponsoring the Ethical-Green Business of the Year.
Businesses are already sending in excellent entries so don’t miss out: put some ‘thinking time’ aside over the festive and New Year period to join in and apply. “Time spent preparing your entry is quality time focussing on your businesses strengths and will help with your marketing plans for 2018. Entering is a win-win decision.” said FSB Development Manager, Martin Searle.
