The FSB Women Cornwall Conference is on Tuesday February 27th at The Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes, Truro. This delightful hotel is owned by incredible business woman Olga Pollizi – sister of Rocco Forte and mother of Alex, the Hotel Inspector.
We will start with a morning of inspiration from incredible business women such as FSB’s Helen Walbey who leads on FSB Diversity while running her motorcycle breakers yard business. Jill Stein OBE of Padstow’s famous Seafood Restaurant and Amanda Winwood of Made for Life Organics will be doing a great double-act as they talk about how they got to do what they do now and how they also started to work together.
After a special networking lunch in the restaurant delegates will break into two smaller workshops. Then they will swap so as not to miss a thing. Smaller groups mean delegates will maximise interaction with our speakers and really get the benefit of the wisdom on offer to take away some personalised practical ideas. There will be plenty of time to make new contacts and perhaps even discover new business partners or supporters from new circles of people that delegates may not usually come across.
The workshops in the afternoon will be:
The one minute elevator pitch and how to get noticed at networking events
Presenter: Jess Ratty - Ex-Crowdunder, owner of her own campervan business, Communications Director for Sir Tim Smit and a BBC Academy Expert and known to many of you for a plethora of other high profile roles.
Social media, the reality of making it work in your business
Presenter: Michele Poynter - From being named on the Retail Stars Power list 2017 to joining the judging panel at Drapers, Michele is at the top of her game. Michele is the Founder of Mish, the mulit-award winning, multi-channel (online and on the high street) lingerie and swimwear retailer. Michele also mentors highly successful award winning businesses start-ups such as Halto and is one of our FSB Women Cornwall Ambassadors.
Bini Ludlow, another of our FSB Women Ambassadors and owner of her Radstock based cookery school business, Sweet Cumin will round off the day for us. If that wasn’t enough we will also be announcing even more amazing speakers shortly and perhaps some more surprise guests connected with the hotel to join us for networking, so book now.
I’m sure that you will agree that this looks to be a great event jam packed with some unique opportunities.
