The FSB in Gloucestershire has joined forces with Vantage Point Business Village in the Forest of Dean to stage another of our mid-morning networking and business seminars. This time the discussion will be on the vital subject of how small businesses can win more contracts for goods and services from public bodies.
The idea of these meetings at Vantage Point is to bring together local business owners from throughout Gloucestershire and beyond to network with one another and also have the chance to hear about a key subject that can affect their day-to-day businesses. Our next meeting is from 10.00am on Tuesday 17 October, and will concentrate on the subject of procurement and what SMEs can do to try and increase their chances of winning contracts. We will have speakers from our local councils and also the biggest infrastructure project in the world - the Hinkley Point C nuclear power site. Hinkley are determined to get as many SMEs as possible working on their vast project and you will hear how you can register to possibly be part of it.
During the morning we hope to have three different speakers each doing short 15 minute presentations and there will also be an opportunity to informally network before and after the presentations - and a question and answer session with our speakers. And thanks to our hosts Vantage Point, the morning will be entirely FREE and we will even throw in light refreshments to make the morning an even more enjoyable one for everyone. Please note unfortunately there is no disabled access to this meeting as the lift at the venue is out of order.
