Health and safety for small businesses - the next topic for #FSBConnect Huntingdon

The next meeting of #FSBConnect Huntingdon  will be held on Thursday, January 18,  2018  at the Falcon Inn, Market Hill, Huntingdon  from 5.30pm until 8.00pm and will feature local health and safety and training expert Carla Crocombe,  who will talk about “Risky Business”, a discussion on how small businesses can manage their health and safety risks.

Carla Crocombe, who formed her company “Safety Rocks Limited” in 2015, will talk about the application of pragmatic health and safety systems for small businesses.  She said: “It is really important that small businesses engage with health and safety issues soon after formation in order to address simple risks which can easily catch business owners unawares if not managed correctly”.

Peter Martin, #FSBConnect host said: “We are looking forward to the third meeting of #FSBConnect Huntingdon. The other two have been very successful with businesses from all over the region coming to meet new contacts and find out something useful in an informal and enjoyable way.”

This series of the networking meetings are held by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and allow everyone at the event to “pitch their wares” in two-minute slots to their fellow attendees. The concept  is part of a successful series of national FSB networking events  in which small business owners have a chance to meet fellow business owners.
The events are open to both FSB members and non-members alike and attracts a range of local businesses who have fed back very positively about the new contacts they have made.

The evening includes a buffet supper and costs £10 for members and non-members as well as the formal networking, there will usually be a speaker at the event as well as a business card draw which will give the winner five minutes to say more about a topic of their choice.

The event will always be the third Thursday of the month at the Falcon Inn and the last event featured Victor Sacks talking about work-based pensions.  For further information and to book, go to  or contact Caron Kendall on 01525 875866
