Gloucestershire FSB stages successful seminar on procurement

  • 27 Jul 2018

The important issue  of how FSB members and other small businesses can improve their chances of winning procurement contracts was the subject of an excellent event run by the FSB team in Gloucestershire.

Working alongside our co-organisers Gloucestershire Growth Hub,  who provided the venue at the county’s university, the FSB arranged the event to try and give hints and tips to our members about how they can increase their success rate when trying to sell their goods and services to key public and private sector bodies.

The well-attended event was addressed by three great speakers – Gloucestershire County Council’s Ian Mawdsley (second left in the picture), the University of Gloucestershire’s Robin Hare (second right) and FSB member and local procurement expert Dave Bass (left in picture) of DB Procurement Solutions.

After each of them had given very helpful presentations with great advice and ideas for our members to consider, the ‘MC’ for the event – FSB South West National Councillor Terry Lockwood, pictured on the right of our photograph - conducted a question and answer session which gave our members the chance to quiz the experts about the best ways to win those vital contracts.
