In support of enterprise and employability skills, Martin Searle, Development Manager presented on ‘being your own boss’ at the College to over 30 year 10-11 students.
Martin also spoke of the Business Creation FSB membership category. The careers day also included an exhibition where Martin is pictured chatting to Wendy Gorham of Young Enterprise.
He also spoke to a range of students from different year groups at the FSB stand about the skills needed to run a successful business.
Martin said, “In today’s modern economy securing stable permanent employment is somewhat of a rarity. It is imperative young people consider one day running their own business. This will make sure they are adaptable and independent in finding their own way productively through life and that they can support their local economy.” FSB is in the best position to support this agenda.
