FSB members meet James Duddridge MP in Southend

Federation of Small Businesses have hosted a roundtable meeting with James Duddridge MP in Southend East. 

The event held at The Hive Enterprise Centre in Southend, focused on the FSB’s policy issues in line with the Think Self Employed campaign. 

The meeting was chaired by FSB Essex Area Lead and Regional Chair, David Barnes. 

Members highlighted the rising cost of running a business, business rates, parking and the condition of local roads as the issues that are affecting their business. 

Mr Duddridge spoke about the Southend High Street Summit and the work that is underway to make the area more attractive while tackling crime, antisocial behavior and rough sleepers. 

Further meetings will be held with Will Quince MP (Colchester), Kemi Badenoch (Saffron Walden) and Giles Watling MP (Clacton)
