A Brighouse based digital agency has benefited from the Huddersfield University student placement programme.
Cara Cardona, a 3rd year marketing student, is joining Vizulate Digital for 12 months in the role of Digital Marketing Business Administrator. Representing 20% of the team Cara’s interest in digital marketing, e-commerce and creative projects attracted her to the opportunity. During her year she hopes to gain an in-depth understanding of digital marketing, as well as learning how a B2B service operates.
Huddersfield’s placement programme forms a key part of their undergraduate experience as they recognise the value that employers place upon real-world experience on graduates CVs. This has helped place them in the Top 10 of graduate employability across UK higher education establishments.
Vizulate Digital director Scott Brant said: “As a Digital Marketing Business Administrator Cara will be working closely with the rest of the team over the next 12 months, assisting in the delivery of a number of large scale digital projects for our diverse range of clients.
“Cara’s appointment means we are now a five-strong team, she will be making a full contribution to our future plans”.
FSB Senior Development Manager Emma Smailes said: “The development of real-world skills are routinely sited by members as one of the key barriers for the growth of SMEs. This initiative is one of many examples of mutually beneficial HE/SME engagement, where students can gain crucial experience and SMEs can benefit from the students skills and ideas and knowledge”
