FSB Manchester & North Cheshire region hosts its second business awards this autumn, with winners announced at a glitzy finale at Manchester’s landmark Hilton Hotel again.
The region is working with Bury based Don’t Panic Events to deliver the November 30 business bash, hosted this time by former Phoenix Night’s star, stand-up comic and BBC Manchester DJ, Ted Robbins. All SME businesses in the region will be able to enter the awards, with FSB members able to enter free of charge.
Like last year there will be 22 awards categories in total, including Best Small Business, Best Micro Business, Best Social Enterprise, Best Start-up, and a special Chairman’s Award selected by FSB Regional Chairman, Simon Edmondson.
Speaking about the inaugural awards, he said: “After last year’s super bash, how could we not do it again? The only difference is this one will be bigger - and better!
“The aim of the awards is simple: to recognise the crucial role smaller businesses play in the northern economy. We’ll be looking to identify the region’s most successful small firms, who can demonstrate diversity and corporate social responsibility at their core.
“Our judges will also be looking for businesses with a great story to tell, great products, great services, and of course, great staff who bring it all together.
If you think that’s you, then you must enter the region’s most genuine business awards – and which I might add are the cheapest in Greater Manchester!
Businesses can apply to enter via the new dedicated FSB website fsbmanchesterawards.co.uk with FSB members eligible for free entry up until September 22nd.
The region’s Development Manager, Robert Downes, added: “Business Awards are one of the best ways to raise the profile of a company and demonstrate to customers and competitors they are top of their game. It’s PR gold to be make the nomination shortlist, and for winners it’s money can’t buy publicity. So don’t delay, enter today!”
