At the end of December, I shall be standing down as Regional Chairman, writes Steve Warwick.
It has been a privilege to represent your interests in Greater London and to be part of the team that has achieved so much in ensuring FSB is truly considered to be the voice of small business in the capital.
London is a dynamic and challenging business environment and we are acutely aware of how vital it is that the contribution of small and micro businesses to our economy and communities is fully recognised.
The introduction of Borough Action Groups to improve engagement at a local level has been really well received by members and is now providing excellent links with local Councils and MPs, as well as offering local forums for members to meet and network.
Representing grass root members’ interests has always been my main priority as your Regional Chair, so it is with much pleasure that this FSB London initiative has been recognised at the national level and incorporated into the new FSB structure.
I’d like to thank all those members who have served on branch and regional committees with me over the years and express a hope that they will continue to offer their skills and experience, as will I, to help FSB London continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.
Michael Lassman, one of our current Regional Vice-Chairs, will be taking over as Regional Chair for London from January and I wish him and the new team every success for the future.
All that remains is for me to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope 2018 brings health, happiness and prosperity.
