FSB Cotswolds to showcase great new facility for agritech

FSB members in the agriculture, technology or agritech sectors may be interested in an event we have arranged for the end of September.

Our FSB Cotswolds team will be co-hosting an event at the home of an exciting new LEP-backed project called ‘Farm 491’ in Gloucestershire which is designed to encourage entrepreneurs to come up with innovative ideas in the field of agritech.

Agritech is defined as the use of technology in agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture and, to encourage people to look at innovative ideas in this growing sector, a great new facility has recently been opened at Harnhill, near Cirencester, which we are inviting our members to visit.

The project is part of the Royal Agricultural University’s aim to provide a space for innovators to boost their businesses by applying technology to growing environments. The project recently opened five workshops with collaborative office spaces at Harnhill to benefit start-ups in need of physical space to build up and define their businesses and we will be meeting there for an early evening session on Thursday, September 28.

As well as offering a talk from one of the members of the project there will also be an update on FSB benefits  as this meeting is open to both FSB members and all other businesses and entrepreneurs in the agritech sector who would like to network and know more about this project and the FSB.

You can find out more about this free event - which includes networking, light refreshments and a tour of the site - by clicking here.
