The FSB in the North East is working with Teesside University to help members across the Teesside area get the support they need in their business.
As part of this Teesside University has agreed to work with FSB members to help give you support on a project or business challenge you’re looking to solve.
The University students will work for free on a challenge your business faces or an idea that you haven’t had time to progress.
Following an initial consultation with the Teesside Business Clinic Supervisor, a consultancy brief will be agreed. You are then matched with a consultancy firm (a small team made up of undergraduate students) who will work with you to identify solutions to the specific challenges faced by your business.
Your consultancy firm will present its findings and recommendations to you on completion of the project.
Consultancy projects vary in size and scope and typically last twelve weeks. Your consultancy firm will visit you on-site to experience your working environment and better understand your business and the challenges it faces. You have remote contact with your firm throughout the duration of the live project.
If you’re interested in seeing how this has worked in the past go to https://youtu.be/mirTh60uVn4?t=140 to see how others have worked with the University on projects.
At the start of the process you’d be invited to take part in a 2 hour networking meeting with fellow business owners and the students. After that the commitment is to be able to respond to emails from your consultancy team throughout the project.
At the end of the twelve week programme the students will deliver a 30 minute presentation on their findings and recommendations on how you take this forward.
FSB members are asked to register their interest by Wednesday 25th October 2017.
This is a unique and exclusive opportunity for FSB members across the Tees Valley.
You’ll get 12 weeks of consultancy support on a challenge or opportunity your business is facing.
