Find a new way of recruiting at the Employability Event - 20 March 2019

  • 12 Mar 2019

Kent businesses are invited to an event on 20 March 2019 at County Hall, Maidstone.

Paul Andrews, CEO of Jobs in Kent and leader of the FSB Skills 30:30 programme says “We hear so much about small businesses finding it hard to recruit the right staff. This event will encourage firms to think differently about how, and who, they recruit. There is lots of recruitment advice and guidance available to employers – I urge them to come to this event to find out what more they can do to help their firm and their local community.”

Mark Parrin, Supported Employment Coordinator at The Education People says “Do join us to find out about the support available to you as an employer. You will hear from other employers and people with a disability about what it’s like to be employed and the difference it makes. This event will make you more confident about taking on somebody who may have Autism of a sensory impairment, and help you widen your talent pool when recruiting. We have some great guest speakers including Microsoft and people with a sensory disability and Autism who are going to talk about what it has meant to be employed.”

This free event – with lunch provided – will be a great opportunity to learn about a new way of recruiting while networking with other local businesses.
