Facilities Management professional relocates to Stokesley

Recent FSB recruit Fiona Bowman, Managing Director of Dysart 57 Ltd, recently moved to Stokesley and is loving the different way of life and looking forward to the challenges of re-establishing her business in a new area of the country.

“One early decision was to join the FSB because there are so many useful Networking events and being part of the network opens up all sorts of opportunities to meet local business owners and learn how the business world operates here in the North East” commented Fiona, “The benefits of (FSB) Membership are incredible:  Business Banking links, Business Insurance, Business Support, Healthcare Support, Legal Protection, Health and Safety Advice and a whole raft of templates available on the website to use”.

Fiona was also delighted to discover that because she lives in Hambleton there is a scheme to encourage membership whereby both the local Council and the FSB contribute towards the first year's membership fee. She’s not alone as over 250 other businesses have taken advantage of the scheme.

Fiona is an experienced Facilities Management Consultant having been in the profession for over 25 years. Her main areas of expertise are around relationship management of FM contracts and contractors, having worked on both the client and contractor sides. Her niche is stepping in at short notice to review service and contract delivery.

Many of her assignments involve working with senior managers, helping them to realign teams, service delivery models and sub-contractors and reviewing how they can make cost savings whilst maintaining standards. She has helped them put performance management processes in place, benchmark the service delivery and produce management reports.

She can also help businesses who are bidding for work, giving them the benefit of her experience from the "client side" and helping them structure their bids effectively.  Recently she has been working with a number of Local Authorities, helping them to restructure their Property Portfolio Maintenance Regimes and help them to consider how they can deliver excellent Facilities Management Services to the varying types of buildings that they own.
