FSB staff and members visited the Chancellor at 11 Downing Street to celebrate the quality and diversity of small businesses ahead of Small Business Saturday. FSB member Simon Cox from Kettering joined FSB chief executive Julie Lilley and Director of External Affairs and Advocacy, Craig Beaumont to discuss the campaign to encourage the public to shop local, at Christmas and all year round.

Simon, who was also at number 10 recently as a result of his voluntary work in the business community said: “As a small business I never imagined I would ever have been inside both number 10 and number 11 inside five months. I feel so motivated currently to do more for our business community and our local people. I’m feeling particularly humble and motivated at the moment!”
