Deputy Mayor of London,  Rajesh Agrawal, recently spoke at an FSB members lunch, during which he met with London winners of the FSB national awards.

Rajesh reiterated the importance to London’s economy of micro and small businesses  and had the chance to share some of the work the Mayor and himself are doing to help businesses in the capital, such as the various business support services available through London’s Growth Hub, and the Mayor’s International Business Programme, as well as the forthcoming Good Work Standard.

FSB members probed the Deputy Mayor on issues including the London Living Wage and how the Mayor’s office are preparing for all eventualities with Brexit.

The FSB will be continuing with our lobbying programme in September when we meet with the Mayor’s Transport Deputy Mayor, Heidi Alexander – and there will be a Business Crime face to face meeting between members of the London Business Board (FSB, CBI, London First and London Chambers) and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, and Cressida Dick, Metropolitan Police Commissioner at the beginning of September to discuss issues facing business.
