Around 30 local business owners attended the first event, which was held at the Maid’s Head Hotel.
The event was hosted by Paul Maskall, FSB’s new Area Lead in East Anglia. Paul spoke to attendees about FSB’s policy campaigns, and encouraged them to enter the East of England Celebrating Small Business Awards.
Membership Advisor Diane Burgess highlighted some of the key benefits available to FSB members.
The main presentation at the event, delivered by John Cunningham and Ryan Ebbage of local accountancy firm Larking Gowen, focused on the government’s Making Tax Digital reforms and discussed the benefits of cloud accounting.
A five-minute pitch was delivered by Tom Adams of the Norwich For Jobs project. He explained some of the work that the project had undertaken to reduce youth unemployment in Norwich, and how local employers could become involved.
The next #FSBConnect Norwich will take place at the same venue on 12 December, between 10-11.30am.
