Cheltenham MP hears about key FSB issues

Talking to politicians about local and national issues is at the cornerstone of FSB policy activity and members of the Gloucestershire and West of England regional team recently met up with Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk as part of this process.

FSB Cheltenham branch chair Tim Calway joined our Gloucestershire–based area policy lead Terry Lockwood and FSB development manager Sam Holliday at a meeting with Mr Chalk in his Cheltenham constituency office.

A wide variety of subjects were covered in the discussions with parking in Cheltenham, the distribution of discretionary rate relief and supporting small businesses on the High Street among the key issues raised.

Mr Chalk – and the 16 other local MPs who fall within the Gloucestershire and West of England region – received regular updates about local and national FSB activity as we seek to work with them all to ensure the best support for SMEs across the area.
