Celebrating small businesses in Stevenage: The Small Business Saturday Bus visit

If you were in Stevenage Town Centre (Danestrete, SG1 1HN) on Tuesday 14th November, you would have come across the Small Business Saturday Bus. Stevenage is the only place in the region where the bus stopped. The SBS team collaborated with a partnership of  key organisations including  FSB, Stevenage Borough Council, Wenta, FSB, Hertfordshire Growth Hub and The Prince’s Trust. To make the event a focus for small businesses in the town.

The event showcased the small business community in Stevenage with an exciting schedule of activities  and coincided with Global Entrepreneurship Week on the lead up to Small Business Saturday itself, which falls on Saturday, December 2.

Ralph Raynor, Executive Member for Economy, Enterprise and Transport at Stevenage Borough Council, said: “The Small Business Saturday Bus coming to Stevenage provided a really good opportunity for businesses to profile their offer, and to show our commitment to support small businesses in Stevenage.”

Pam Charman, Chairman of the Hertfordshire branch said: “The Small Business Saturday Bus tour gave Stevenage SMEs an excellent chance to showcase their businesses, learn from mentors and network to strengthen the local business community.”
