Small Business Saturday takes place this year on December 2nd – purportedly the busiest day of the shopping calendar. In Greater Manchester, FSB is working with the Exchange Shopping Centre in Rochdale town centre to put on a festive market – and this is your opportunity to be involved.
The event is aimed at independent traders and novelty stall holders who'd like to run a pitch at this annual event in the heart of Rochdale's bustling shopping district.
You'll have a pitch in the Exchange Shopping Centre where you will be able to sell your wares and unusual gifts to the passing general public.
Simon Edmondson, FSB Regional Chairman for Manchester & North Cheshire, said: “Small Business Saturday is about celebrating entrepreneurial spirit and grass roots businesses, and is now in its fifth year in the UK. With events up and down the country and across Greater Manchester, there should be a real buzz about SBS events.
“The Rochdale market will be the focus of FSB’s Greater Manchester effort and we’re confident it’ll be a high profile event. You can take part as a trader for free, but you will be asked to pay a refundable deposit of £30 - refunded simply by you turning up on the day. No show, no refund - it's that simple!”
To take part stall holders will require:
• A table to sell your products from
• Public liability insurance – FSB can provide details of a cheap providers
• A small float
• Enough stock to last a busy day
