From ornaments made from spoons and forks to line boring repairs for dockside materials handling vehicles. Garrick Hickman and Ryan Hickman run Port Equipment Engineering Ltd based at Immingham Docks.
They specialise in on site line boring and provide services to the Agricultural, Petro Chemical and Metals industries. The machine on display is for repairs to the bucket or fork lift attachment grab location holes on materials handlers.

Over time the holes become elongated and need to be filled and accurately re-drilled by line boring, thus prolonging the life of the equipment.
Other stands included Terry and Lucy from TaxAssist accountants focussing on the implications for business owners and managers of the Making Tax Digital legislation. FSB Members can take advantage of the 12th month free when signing up for a 12 month accountancy package.
Meanwhile, Vicky Thompson and Julie Goy were on hand to explain the ‘caring for carers’ and raise awareness of services provided by ‘Every-One’. For those with an interest in business finance Darryl Uglow of Chequergate Limited offers financial analysis with a view to maximising income and controlling costs with a particular focus on the care sector. Glen Greenwood and Phil Hodgson were proving they are passionate about data with their business Smile Data Security Ltd and DBS Internet Marketing were on hand to help businesses make the most of digital technologies.
Property sales and letting agents Northwood Lincoln were busy discussing the current rental market and property prices. David Black of DB Fire Safety Ltd travelled up from Peterborough to explain his services. The most attractive display was surely by Forked Up Art Ltd who had ornaments made from cutlery and novelty spectacle holders – oh and some Giraffe’s!
