Many businesses simply need to trade from premises because of the nature of what they do and others may be thinking of expanding and moving into premises for the first time.
Whatever the case business rates will account for a very large proportion of overheads and will be a big consideration for any venture. Indeed this tax can be make or break for some!
Naturally, FSB get a very large number of business owners who express concern and want to know what they can do to reduce their bill or if they are actually paying the right amount.
Many in West Cornwall, in particular, had been having real difficulty. So on Thursday 14 September FSB Cornwall will be coming to Carbis Bay and have invited Cornwall Council's Revenues Team to explain Business Rates Reliefs (including the latest announcement on the additional help for those worst effected) and how to apply.
The speakers will also be around during the networking to answer individual businesses questions and to provide some practical help to local businesses.

As this is an FSBConnect Networking event, it is open to all business owners. There will be a structured section of the event to make it easy for businesses to be introduced to new contacts and of course, plenty of time to mingle with all other attendees and the opportunity to circulate any promotional literature and business cards.
Cost: £10 per head to include tea/coffee on arrival and buffet lunch at 1pm to cover costs. FSB does not seek to make profit from this event.
