Since the UK voted to leave the European Union on 23rd June 2016, businesses across the country have been asking: just how will Brexit affect business?
Manchester legal eagle, Helen Tse, who’s a Partner at Clarke Willmott in the city, has written a new book that considers the legal issues facing business, along with the immediate and future issues faced by UK industry.
Approaching business professionals including Sir John Timpson and Manchester-based digital marketing agency Digital Next, she has written a book titled “Doing Business After Brexit”: A Practical Guide to the Legal Issues, offers guidance surrounding the transitional and future post Brexit era.
Alderley Edge based FSB members, Mark Blackhurst and his brother Justin, founders of digital web developers Digital Next, were approached by Helen to collaborate in her book due to their growth and client success over the last seven years.
Said Mark: “When Helen approached us, it was initially a surprise, but on reflection we realise we are the catalyst of many companies’ online success and therefore we’re in a prime position to pass on advice in the current economic climate.
“After experiencing international growth ourselves, opening offices overseas in cities such as Melbourne, Australia, we’re pleased that Digital Next has created some positivity around the uncertainty surrounding Brexit and made an impact in helping other businesses both in the UK and internationally.”
The two brothers are confident the ever-growing digital revolution will help overcome any Brexit negativity, explaining exactly how they envisage this happening in their own dedicated chapter in the book.
The release of the book is being celebrated with a number of events, starting with the launch of the book on 20th September at Crowne Clark Whitehill, The Lexicon, Mount Street in Manchester. Tickets for the event can be booked here.
Headline Speakers at the event include leading tech entrepreneur Scott Fletcher MBE,
Sir John Timpson, and Stephen Rosser from Clarke Willmott.
Mark, who will be at the launch, added Mark: “Brexit may well be one of the biggest stories in our lifetime and the book Doing Business After Brexit is intended to help businesses mitigate risk, take advantage of opportunities, approaching Brexit with a positive, proactive attitude.”
