FSB has announced a new collaboration with Facebook to help address the digital skills deficit in small businesses and the event for the East Midlands will be held at BG University in Lincoln. Having called for both Government and industry action to tackle this skills shortage, FSB has now invited Facebook to collaborate in creating and delivering a custom-made in-person training session for small businesses.
FSB research found that a quarter (26%) of small business owners lack confidence in basic digital skills and says that left unchecked this will further stall productivity growth in the UK.
The need for small businesses to consider the utilisation of Social Media when creating their Marketing Plans is now firmly established. This event will help owners and managers to include the Facebook and Instagram platforms when developing a social media strategy and then take them through to action plans for working towards reality. The masterclass content is aimed at those who are probably already using Facebook but want to reach more people for the benefit of the business. There will also be a session on Instagram with information on new features such as Instagram Stories Ads, plus Actions and Shopping Tags designed to make it easier for customers to engage with your business.
The East Midlands event will be held at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln on Monday 10 June. The fee per delegate is £5.00 for FSB Members and £10.00 for Non-Members. Advance booking is required via the events page on www.fsb.org.uk/regions/east-midlands/events or via the Link: here
