This month #FSBConnect Cambourne, our monthly business networking event held at South Cambridgeshire Hall, Cambourne Business Park, Cambridge and will feature marketing expert and finalist in last year’s FSB Small Business awards, Mark Layzell who will talk about how you can get the best out of your on-line presence. The event will take place on Wednesday 26 September between 5.30-7.30pm.
The format of this series of networking meetings allows everyone at the event to “pitch their wares” in two-minute slots to their fellow attendees. The concept is one of a range of national FSB networking events in which small business owners are given a chance to meet fellow business owners. The event will be hosted by FSB branch leader Alan Todd.
Alan said: “This is an exciting way to spend a midweek evening after work. It is always a great way of meeting new businesses and sharing a tasty buffet. There are always new people to meet, given what a great, central location we have for this event.”
Mark Layzell said: “ I am really looking forward to speaking at this networking event. Most businesses have a website these days but are they getting the best out them? My talk will look at the how businesses can ensure that they are maximizing the potential of their digital presence.”
The events are open to both FSB members and non-members alike and the evening costs £10 for members and non-members and includes tea or coffee and a buffet supper and as well as the networking, there will usually be a speaker at the event as well as a business card draw which will give the winner five minutes to say a more about a topic of their choice.
The event will be on 26 September, moving to the fourth Wednesday of the month from then onwards. For further information and to book, go to www.fsb.org.uk/regions/east-of-england or contact Caron Kendall on 01525 875866.
