In partnership with Leighton Linslade Town Council, the Bedfordshire branch offered a pop-up market and special business clinic to all small businesses in Leighton Linslade.
The event took place on Saturday 7 October and provided our local small businesses the opportunity to showcase the fantastic range of goods and services that this town has to offer as we begin to look forward to Christmas. Business experts will also be on hand to provide a clinic service to those small businesses who attend the pop-up market event.
Ben Bodsworth from Leighton Linslade Town Council said; “We enjoyed working on this event with FSB. It was a great opportunity for local residents and visitors to the area to find out about the businesses that there are in Leighton Linslade”.
Caron Kendall, Development Manager for Bedfordshire said: “In our market towns such as Leighton Buzzard it is the independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants that make it a visitor destination, not the faceless chain stores. But it is also important to give the businesses who don’t have a “shopfront” and may be based on the outskirts of the town, a chance to show their wares. This is why we were delighted to work in partnership with the town council on this special event.”
She continued: “Also small businesses are so busy running their operations that the chance to meet experts over a burning issue is a very useful bonus. This is why we put on a business clinic at the same time with our own service providers and Wenta, the local enterprise agency.
