How getting customer service right has boosted an FSB member's business

What a bride needs on her special day is an extra-special car in which to arrive, and those in the Hampshire area need look no further than Cathedral Cars.

Cathedral Cars, which is owned by Brian and Liz Bennett and based in Romsey, recently became the first transport company to win the coveted Guides for Brides UK customer service award for two years running.

“It’s very humbling to have beaten other, more established, wedding transport companies and to be the first transport company to win it two years in a row,” says Brian.

“It makes it even more rewarding to know you are judged purely on the customer feedback your couples give you.”

Cathedral Cars was nominated for the award by Bex and Ben Daniels for the service provided at their wedding at East Horton Golf Club, Fair Oak, in March last year.

More than 8,000 wedding car companies across the UK were eligible to enter the award, which was shortlisted to 10 companies, with just six of those making it to the final judging. The winner was announced at a gala evening in central London in March.


“We exhibit at a number of wedding fairs throughout the area where couples can come along to see our cars and to have a chat about their individual requirements,” says Brian. “Every wedding is different, and we firmly believe it is our responsibility to help people get the one they deserve.”
