Last night, First Voice online won the Best Digital Magazine at Memcom 2019. The award recognises excellence in digital magazine technology and design for members.
Entries were assessed on evidence of strategy and a clearly defined target audience, as well as a high degree of professionalism, design, and innovation in content and technology. The online publication had to display creativity and originality.
First Voice is the highest circulating business magazine in the UK and continues to provide the most comprehensive and significant business news and advice in accordance with the FSB’s strap-line, ‘Experts in Business’. First Voice serves around 165,000 members with expert-led practical advice and news within the small business space.
In 2015, it was decided to take First Voice online, and this is the platform you can see now.
FSB Finance Director David Miles, whose role includes overseeing First Voice, said: “It was imperative that the resources delivered by FSB in the print publication were readily available to a growing digital audience of small business owners.
“Arguably, the reason for cementing the win was the level of engagement with members that First Voice online achieved. A user-friendly platform allows members to navigate around the topics that are relevant and of use to them, providing a personalised experience.
“We’re delighted that the online platform has been recognised as the valuable resource it is, and we hope to continue to proudly serve our members as best we can.”
