Almost one in four small firms do not report crimes against their business

Almost one in four (24 per cent) small firms do not report crimes committed against their business, according to FSB research.

The most common reason for this is the view that it would not achieve anything positive and would not lead to a successful prosecution. The figures call into question the accuracy of crime reporting, FSB says, and suggest low levels of confidence in the police.
